Zooming in on the Breakfast Club!

Thornhill, Hightown and Kanes Hill schools are operating breakfast clubs which were funded as a part of Thornhill Health and Wellbeing Project.

Not only do they encourage healthy eating and provide nutritional breakfasts to children who might otherwise miss out, the clubs promote dental hygiene in a fun way.

Kanes Hill Primary School is currently sponsoring three children from Action Aid, a charity which helps poor children in continents such as Asia, South America and Africa. Each year group has taken on the responsibility of sponsoring a child from one of these continents. By spending £15 a month, the school will be helping these children to be able to drink fresh water, receive health care and eat nutritious food. Hopefully, with the help of Kanes Hill pupils, these children will be able to receive the medication they need.
